In Rearranging atoms Benjamin explores the balance between man-made and natural objects and examines this relationship by constructing sculptural arrangements of various contrasting objects. His objects are delicately and precisely arranged through planning and instinct, and the process of creating these arrangements takes on a methodical, almost religious, ritualistic experience.

Within Ben’s photography there is a sense of calling back to a past time in art. There are strong references to Gothic, and Renaissance painters through his use of seemingly random, but in fact suggestive & symbolic objects which communicate in a highly visual language.
