These images were created as part of the Augmented Reality Trail, a project started by Oli Knowles that asked artists to respond to buildings in the port city of Southampton.
The first image was inspired by Holyrood Church which was heavily bombed during the second world war. It was not restored but instead left as a memorial to those who lost there lives at sea.
The second image is a polytych containg images of St. Marys church which can trace its origins back to the 7th century. and has since had 5 different incarnations. It was also bombed during the war and some of the remnants of shattered graves were used to rebuild the paths that wind around the grounds.
